Goldwell of New England
Holliston, Massachusetts
Architect: Design/Build by Masiello Construction
Masiello Construction has completed the
10,000 square foot addition and extensive
office renovations for Goldwell of New
England and Essential Salon Products,
Inc. The addition consists of conventional
steel framing and pre-assembled wall panels.
Construction began in May of 2006 and
was completed in January of 2007.
The entire existing building was altered
to conform to the latest requirements
of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
A handicap ramp was added to the building
main entry, and an elevator was added
internally to the building. There were
substantial alterations to the training
and office facilities, and a new employee
lunch room was added.
Masiello Construction built the original
building in 1988 and has performed numerous
additions and alterations since. The project
was contracted under the Design/Build
method. Masiello Construction offers complete
design build services to Business and
Industry.

Logan Substation
Shrewsbury, Massachusetts
Engineer: PLM Engineering
Hopkinton, Massachusetts
Masiello Construction performed demolition,
site and concrete work for the new 69,000
Volt Buss Tie and Transformer upgrades
at the Logan Substation for the Shrewsbury
Electric Light Department. The primary
contractor for the project was J. F. White
Contracting Corp. (Electrical Division)
of Framingham, Massachusetts.
Masiello Construction specializes in
Substation Civil Construction. This is
the latest in many substation projects
that Masiello has done for J. F. White
Contracting. Masiello also completed the
Rolfe Avenue Substation for Shrewsbury
Electric Light and built their new Garage
at Municipal Avenue in Shrewsbury.
The Buss Tie project began in September
of 2006 and Masiello Construction was
complete in November of 2006. Control
and Power cabling is still ongoing.

Waste Management Landfill Gas to Energy
Project
Westminster, Massachusetts
Engineer: The Howard R. Greene Company
CM: T. V. John & Son, Inc.
Masiello Construction performed concrete,
carpentry and gypsum wall board systems
for the new Landfill Gas to Energy Project
at the Fitchburg Landfill. The project
utilizes methane gas inherent to landfills
in the production of electricity.
Landfill generated methane gas is scrubbed
of sulfurs and other impurities and piped
to converted Caterpillar Enginators. Generated
electricity will be made available to
consumers through National Grid.
Masiello Construction ventured into the
Power Generation Market in 1991 and has
performed Civil, Site, Concrete and Building
work at many New England power plants
since.

Southbridge
Savings Bank
Worcester, Massachusetts
Architect: DRL Associates, Inc.
The New Southbridge Savings Bank on Gold
Star Boulevard in Worcester utilizes a
wood Frame and Masonry Veneer with an
Architectural Roof Shingle Accented by
Copper "eyebrows" and entry
way.

Battery Plaza

Architect: Design/Build
Batteries Unlimited and Leasable space
at 1000 Grafton Street in Worcester utilizes
American Buildings Company pre-engineered
metal building with Masonry Veneer and
Standing Seam Roof.

West Medway Substation
West Medway, Massachusetts
Engineer: NStar in House
Masiello Construction performed demolition,
site and concrete work for two new 345,000
Volt Mitsubishi Gas Insulated Breakers
at the NStar Substation in West Medway,
Massachusetts. The primary contractor
for the project was J. F. White Contracting
Corp. (Electrical Division) of Framingham,
Massachusetts.
The project began in October of 2006
when Breaker #110 was removed from service
and Masiello Construction began demolition
of the existing foundations and cable
troughs. After the new breaker was installed
and tested, Masiello returned to the site
to begin demolition, site and civil work
for Breaker #111. The project was completed
in January of 2007.
